Usage Instructions

Place the desired amount of Mawal flowers in a saucepan and add enough water to completely cover the flowers. Bring the water to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let the flowers simmer for about 15-20 minutes. As the flowers boil, they will release their vibrant red pigment into the water, creating a natural food coloring. After simmering, strain the liquid to remove the flowers, leaving behind the red-colored solution. Your homemade Mawal food coloring is now ready to enhance a variety of dishes.
