- Baisaran Valley:
A striking resemblance to the lush green meadows of Switzerland has christened this place as the “Mini Switzerland in Kashmir”. The snow capped mountains sit like a tiara over the entire valley and the picturesque dense pine forests add serenity to its surroundings. This place is also an ideal campsite for trekkers who wish to move further up to the Tulian Lake.
- Mamaleshwar Temple
This ancient temple, devoted to Lord Shiva, dates back to 400 A.D. The temple has a plinth and a Shiva Linga, a sparkling water spring and a shrine lavishly adorned in pure gold by the former king of Kashmir. Thousands of devotees visit the famous Mamaleshwar temple and shrine every year.
- Avantipur Temple
Unlike the Mamaleshwar Temple, the Avantipur temple, built upon the ancient Greek architecture is now in ruins. Build by King Avantivaram in the 9thcentury, what remains of the ancient temple is an archaeological site with the engravings of Hindu Gods and Goddesses etched into their very walls.
- Pahalgam Golf Course
Located in the lap of tall pines and lofty mountains, the Pahalgam Golf course is famous for its scenic beauty, high altitude and a wide range of facilities. The 18-course golf course hosts many championships throughout the year and is visited by most tourists who visit Pahalgam.
- Kolahoi Glacier
The Kolahoi glacier attracts thousands of trekkers every year. The glacier holds an important place amongst the mountain ranges in the region. The 4 day long trek is an absolute delight for the trekkers, with the breathtaking views keeping them awestruck throughout. The path is covered with lush green mountain vegetations and the Lidder road alongside.
- Aru
Famous for its scenic meadows, the Aru Valley is popular among tourists and locals alike. This heart captivating place is a perfect example of tranquility and composure offered by Mother Nature. - Betaab Valley
The Betaab Valley is named after the famous Bollywood Movie, Betaab, which was shot in its picturesque ambience. - Sheshnag Lake
Sheshnag means the King of Snakes and it is believed by the Hindus that the Sheshnag himself channeled this lake and resides in it till date. 22 km away from Pahalgam, is a magnificent valley covered in dense forests and green meadows. This village is also a starting point to the Sindh Valley and adventurers, travelers and trekkers often camp at this site.
